The following are the steps for sending out a proposal.
- Set the password for the client portal
- Select the correct workflow and apply it to the project
- Assign the to-do’s at the top of the workflow to yourself
- Click “Edit” on the part of the workflow that is for sending the form that is your proposal. Add in your personal touch at the beginning and your name at the end of the email. Click apply and then approve the task.
Once you have followed these instructions, the proposal has been sent to the client. Please note that our proposals are currently set to expire 60 days after sending them to the client.
The instructions above and the workflows listed in the videos assume that the client didn’t make a comment such as “I am interested, but I’m probably not going to be ready to sign for a while. I would still like to see the proposal.” When a client makes a comment like this, we will want to apply a different workflow, and follow slightly different instructions. Below is are the steps to follow for this situation:
- Set the password for the client portal
- Select the workflow titled “Client Timeline Unsure” and apply it to the project
- The first task listed in this workflow will say “send form (I.) Write My Book immediately after workflow started”. You will need to click edit, scroll down to the section that says “Form Template to Send” and select the appropriate proposal. Options 1&2 proposal is called “(I.) Write My Book” and Option 0 proposals are listed out based on word count of their manuscript. You will also want to edit the email to add in your personal touch and name. Click Apply.
- Click the approve button on this task to send the proposal to the client.
Please note that in this scenario, the proposal will still expire after 60 days, but no automated emails will be sent out to the client. When the client is ready to move forward with Streamline (if it is after 60 days and the proposal has expired), they will likely reach out and ask us to reopen the proposal.
